1. Steve Jobs : Walter Isaacson

Jobs' biography is a tale of combining processors and poetry. Based on the Silicon Valley virtuoso who was considered to be one of the most eccentric CEO's ever, the book still manages to have something for every reader.

2. Jugaad Innovation : Navi Radjou and Jaideep Prabhu

Jugaad is a word often heard in general conversation in India. Whether to find ingenious solutions to problems or turn adversity into opportunity—Indians swear by it.

In the midst of rising global competition and swelling R&D budgets, Jugaad Innovation presents ways to innovate, be flexible, and do more with less.

3. Zero to One : Peter Thiel

This book was based on a course that Peter Thiel co-taught at Stanford a couple of years ago. Blake Masters, a student auditing the course, put the notes online and then they went viral.

With a story like that preceding the synthesis of the book, one can stay assured about the content itself.

5. The Art of Thinking Clearly : Rolf Dobelli

The Art of Thinking Clearly reads like a giant listicle. It lists 99 cognitive biases, each one more common than the last, but hidden in plain sight.

A good way of reading it would be highlighting the clearest example in each cognitive bias in addition to the conclusion.

6. Rich Dad Poor Dad : Robert T. Kiyosaki

The knowledge of finance is one technical know-how that no startup can hope to prosper without.

Rich Dad Poor Dad constitutes a beginner's introduction to the world of Finance and the immense potential it possesses. A must have for any starting entrepreneur.

7. Purple Cow : Seth Godin

"Cows, after you've seen one, or two, or ten, are boring. A Purple Cow, though...now that would be something."

In this world inhabited by cows, Seth Godin asserts how the right kind of marketing can take your product from being a cow to a purple cow.
